Latest UK House Price Index data revealed the annual rate of house price inflation dipping below 4% for the first time in 4½ years.
Average English house prices fell 0.3% during March 2018 with 56% of English Local Authorities recording month-on-month price falls during the month.
February’s UK House Price Index (UK HPI) recorded falling prices (month-on-month) in five of England's nine regions, alongside strong growth in both the West Midlands and the North East.
Nationally, prices continue to show signs of slight cooling, with annual rates of house price inflation for England in January2018 coming in at 4.6%, compared with 5.1% for January 2017.
